Telehealth Visits
A new way to get the care you need.
BVHC is working to expand our telehealth capabilities which enables patients to facilitate online appointments with their medical and behavioral health providers when appropriate. This means you can see your provider from the comfort of your home. Note: Patients must be physically in the state of Vermont at the time of telehealth visit.
- a working email address.
- a working smart phone, computer, tablet or laptop.
- the Zoom app downloaded on the device you wish to use for your appointment.
How will you know if your appointment will be via telehealth?
- when you call the office to schedule an appointment, our nurses and providers will decide whether or not it can take place using telehealth or if you should come into the office to be seen.
- if your provider determines that a telehealth visit is appropriate, please visit Zoom to download the app to your smart phone or other personal device you wish to use for your appointment.
- if your provider believes that it would be best for you to be seen in person, please know that our check-in protocol has been modified. This will be explained to you before you arrive.
- if you have a scheduled appointment, a staff member will be in touch with you to discuss how to proceed.
Once you have scheduled your telehealth visit, a patient services representative will give you a meeting ID and password. You will use this information to “join the meeting.”
